The Tour’s Dynamic Duo

Liggett and Sherwen announce the Tour on Versus TV.

British team calls play-by-play of Tour de France

“He’s riding like a man possessed,”  you’ll often hear them say in their lovely British accents.

Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen are the long-time announcers of the Tour de France. And this year, they’ll do it for 2200 miles, from four to six hours a day for three weeks.

Liggett has been announcing the race since the early 1970s. Sherwen started commentating in 1989 following a long professional racing career. The two have experience and wit unmatched by any other Tour follower. The Tour would not be the same without them. Cheers, chaps!
