Is that a motor in your bike, or are you just happy to be a time trial champion?
Strange things often happen at the Tour de France. And the latest engine conspiracy theory is one of them. Race officials became suspicious that some riders might have secretly installed small motors in their bicycles. So, they took an x-ray of fourteen bikes after Saturday’s prologue. Seconds after Fabian Cancellara won the time trial, officials took his Specialized S-Works off to an x-ray tent. No motor was found, but officials can’t seem to explain how the Olympic and world time trial champion can ride so fast. “Next time they should x-ray my legs,” said Fab. “That’s where the motor is.”
