Tour de France Stage 13: Cav Wins Again!

For the second day in a row, Team Columbia’s Mark Cavendish won a stage in the Tour de France. The “Man from the Isle of Man” out-sprinted the peloton to win today’s stage 13 in the ancient town of Nimes. It’s his fourth Tour victory: Cav also won stages five, eight and twelve and says he is getting tired.

Team Columbia rode hard in the heat and crosswinds these past few days, chasing down breakaways and setting up Cav for the finish sprint. That may hurt the team tomorrow, when the Tour climbs gently toward the Alps. The boys in blue need a good night’s sleep.
